Found tucked away in a newly purchased older home in St. Augustine, Florida, Sara’s journey to prominence began with strange and eerie occurrences that led her to find a new home with us here at A Night Among Ghosts. She arrived with the moniker Ruby, due to her mysterious crimson-toned eyes.
Sara’s origins are shrouded in mystery. Discovered in a closet of a recently acquired home, her presence seemed to coincide with possible paranormal activity in the house. The new homeowner, unsettled by the inexplicable occurrences, found herself in a conundrum; she didn’t feel right throwing the doll away, and donating her to an unsuspecting family didn’t seem the correct path either. She reached out to locals on the Nextdoor app where she received several suggestions to reach out to us to see what our thoughts were.
When she first arrived, her energy was immense, a bit chaotic, with a lot of childlike intensity. If you ever end up with Savannah as your guide, be sure to ask her about the day Sara joined the A Night Among Ghosts fam. 😉
Steve and I felt drawn to the doll’s mysterious aura right away and were honored and eager to take her into our care. Through several investigations, we, along with the rest of the A Night Among Ghosts Team, were able to connect and communicate with the energy connected to the doll. We learned quite a few things about our new friend, including her preferred name of Sara, as well as two young spirits that are possibly connected to her.
Sara’s former custodian soon decided to gift the doll to us, where she would be in the hands of someone who would know how to care for her and also would not be afraid of the unsettling energy surrounding her.
Sara often accompanies us on paranormal events and investigations, where she is sometimes incorporated into the exploration of haunted locations. Her presence adds an extra layer of intrigue to these investigations, with some believing that Sara may be a conduit for spiritual communication or activity.
Since her arrival, Sara has become a focal point of fascination for visitors and paranormal enthusiasts alike. Guides and guests have reported peculiar phenomena in Sara’s presence, including whispers, movement, and feelings of unease. Her reputation as a haunted object quickly spread, drawing attention from those curious about the supernatural.
